Our Mission: Keep You Online, Always

Let's Build Something That Works for You

Hosted Backbone was born from a family company’s need for better internet. We engineered our own solution, and others wanted in. Today, we serve clients across Virginia and beyond, always staying true to our roots: be responsive, be reliable, and never cut corners.

Evan Weiner

Founder & Managing Member

Evan Weiner is the driving force behind Hosted Backbone’s mission to deliver reliable, high-performance connectivity with a personal touch. As Founder and CEO, Evan blends more than 20 years of connectivity and infrastructure expertise with the instinctive problem-solving of a hands-on entrepreneur. His career began in the field—designing and deploying fiber networks long before it was cool—and has since evolved into leading large-scale buildouts, managing mission-critical deployments, and forming strategic partnerships across multiple industries.

Evan doesn’t just understand the technical side of fiber—he lives it. Whether he’s trenching conduit with his own hands or negotiating complex vendor agreements, Evan is deeply involved in every facet of the business. His leadership is guided by a simple but powerful philosophy: deliver what you promise, keep things running, and always be someone others can count on.

Under his direction, Hosted Backbone has grown into a nimble, trusted infrastructure provider serving schools, healthcare systems, commercial developers, and enterprise businesses. Evan’s unique ability to straddle the technical and strategic sides of the business has earned him the respect of clients, partners, and competitors alike.

When he’s not building networks (or chasing down outages in a hoodie and boots), Evan is with his wife and three children—who make sure whatever free time he has is well spent.

Harry Baron

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Harry Baron leads Hosted Backbone’s sales and marketing efforts with a sharp eye for strategy and a deep respect for relationships. He brings a rare mix of Fortune 500 polish and entrepreneurial hustle—having built and led high-performing teams at Cintas, ADP, JP Morgan Chase, and Global Payments. Across those organizations, he earned President’s Club honors, helped launch new sales divisions, and learned firsthand how to navigate complex buying environments while keeping people at the center of every deal.

At Hosted Backbone, Harry uses that experience to help clients make smarter, faster connectivity decisions. He’s known for asking the right questions, building genuine partnerships, and crafting sales strategies that balance data, intuition, and real-world results. Whether he’s meeting with a local business owner or a national enterprise, Harry brings the same energy and focus: listen well, solve the right problem, and follow through.

When he’s not driving growth at Hosted Backbone, Harry’s with his wife and two daughters—or hosting the alumni podcast for The Steward School, where his story began.
